Description:
Though I usually want to return to many of the places I visit, a few stand out as ones I crave repeat visits again and again. And again. One of these is the Santa Fe/ Taos region of New Mexico, the state so aptly known as the Land of Enchantment. A knitter's paradise, inspiration dances in the shop windows, across the painted canyons, in the spirit of its creative peoples, in the galleries, the vistas and, of course, in the yarn stores. Five stellar yarn stores exist in Santa Fe alone whereas Taos has three, including La Lana Yarns and Weaving Southwest. Here knitting is given the respect it deserves, even revered, plus the entire area is infused with a spiritual dimension you feel beyond words. So, can their be a better place for a knitting retreat?
