Can Herbal Remedies Help Respiratory Problems in Cats? Seattle WA

As true when using conventional drugs, finding the best herbs for the specific problem can be a bit tricky. In my practice, I use several products to boost the cat's immune system, including Immunosupport by RX vitamins, and Echinacea comp by Heel.

Q: Are herbal remedies effective for healing or staving off respiratory problems in cats? I have read that Thyme is effective.

A. Yes, there are a lot of herbal remedies that can help, including thyme. As is true when using conventional drugs, finding the best herbs for the specific problem can be a bit tricky. In my practice, I use several products to boost the cat's immune system, including Immunosupport by RX vitamins, and Echinacea comp by Heel. Lysine can also be helpful for cats suffering from herpesvirus infection. Work with your holistic veterinarian to find the best combination of remedies for your cat.
